GDWB Digital Receipts Frequently Asked Questions

How do I capture my paper receipts?

From the receipts list, tap on “Capture Receipts”.

For iOS 9 and above, you will default to “Automatic” capture mode, with the flash turned on by default. Arrange the receipt edges on the screen so that the whole receipt is visible. Hover over the receipt, holding still, to give the camera time to snap the perfect receipt image for you. Avoid white surfaces so that the camera can detect the edges of the receipt.

The other camera capture mode is “Manual”. The flash will be automatically turned on by default. Use the crop bar and grid lines to eliminate the background of the receipt image and ensure the receipt is straight. Tap on the receipt to focus on the receipt’s text. Tap on the circular capture button at the bottom of the screen to capture your receipt image.

How do I capture my electronic receipts?

You must first set up a personal Receipts email address (ex. john@myreceipts.us). You can do so from the top of your receipts list, or, if you haven’t added any receipts yet, tap the button “Add Email Receipts”.

Simply forward the receipts from your personal email inbox to your Receipts email address. Some retailers offer to email you a copy of your receipt. You can give your Receipts email address to the cashier, and the receipt will directly be uploaded to your account. For merchants such as Uber or Lyft, you can set up your account to use your email address. Your receipts will automatically feed in every time you ride.

If you ever forget your email address, you can find it at the top of the receipts list.

Can I upload receipts from transactions paid in cash or with a non-participating bank card?

Yes. Receipts supports all receipts, irrespective of what you used to pay. You can even upload receipts for purchases paid by gift card or check. All your captured receipts will be visible in the Receipts section of GDWB Mobile Banking app.
